BOSCOMBE
On top of the antique shops, street market, shopping mall and nightclubs that dot its area, the town of Boscombe boasts of wide sandy beaches, wooded chine to the seafront, and gardens filled with the prettiest blooms.
SOUTHBOURNE
Southbourne is an exquisitely serene out-of-town site. Located close to the riverbank and countryside area of Hengistbury Head , it has a Blue Flag beach and easy access to the Bournemouth town centre.
POOLE
With a circumference of 80 miles, Poole Harbour , is the world s second-largest natural harbor. Dating back to the 15 th century, it is now a thriving port with an active quayside, and boasts of a perfect blend of historic landmarks, architecture and modern leisure attractions. Among its attractions are museums, boat trips to Brownsea Island , Compton Acres, Poole Pottery , and Poole Park , which has its own miniature steam railway, children s indoor play area and boating lake.
WIMBORNE
Wimborne Minster is an ancient town whose history dates back to the eight century. For a glimpse into Wimborne s history, it would be a very interesting experience to visit the Wimborne Model Town , which shows in miniature what the area looked like in the past.
Among the attractions in the area are the twin towered Minster Church , which features a 14th century astronomical clock and a chained library, and the Knoll Gardens , which counts more than 4,000 botanical specimens in its impressive collection.
Another notable location is the Stapehill Abbey . A silent order of Cistercian Nuns used to be based there, but it now houses a display showing the work of the religious community, an agricultural exhibition, and a craft centre.
CHRISTCHURCH
Whether you re looking for a base to discover the delights of rural Dorset , explore the New Forest , or just plain take a short break, Christchurch is the perfect site for all these. With lovely floral displays and sandy beaches, Christchurch boasts of a fascinating heritage and a Saxon charm that is still evident despite the presence of modern shops and amenities.
The older part of the town, which is nestled in the shadow of the priory Church , boasts of a variety of restaurants, cafes and public houses, as well as beautiful river walks. Shopaholics will surely have a grand time checking out the modern Saxon Square shopping centre and the thriving High Street , where a host of interesting and well known shops can be found.
Many attractions dot Christchurch . There are the award-winning ones, such as the Christchurch Ski-centre and Motor Museum , the Knights of Christchurch and the Alice in Wonderland Family Park . For a better understanding of Christchurch s past, you would do well to check out sites such as the Red House Museum , the Southern Electric Museum and the Bournemouth Aviation Museum .
HIGHCLIFFE

Its clean, sandy beaches make Highcliffe a popular seaside community. One point of interest is the Highcliffe Castle , a unique, Grade One listed mansion that is currently undergoing restoration work.
MUDEFORD

People who are into all kinds of water sports will surely find Mudeford a perfect place for their activities. Known for its scenic quay and safe, sandy beaches, it s also the place to be for children who love and enjoy hunting for crabs from the quayside.
